First it is a family business run by the founder and lead forest explorer - Raul Garcia - currently working in Microsoft PR.
He is a Mathematician by education (MS UCSD) and software developer.
His sons Jose and Miguel and the family help with the explorations.
Yunque Store has a unique focus on the rain forest of Puerto Rico and the world (US National Parks too). We want to make them known in the form of canvas prints, metalic prints and many other Print on Demand products mentioned below.
The rationale is that for people to visit and know Nature they need to become aquanted with it first. Sharp and beautiful canvas or posters at home or business of Nature is a great means to inspire to protect nature.
Humans need Nature to be healthy in mind and body. 11 M people visit the Great Smoky park in TN USA for a reason. 3 M visit El Yunque yearly. (Before Covid).
Thus we also have a focus on Global Warming as a specific field that needs education of the general public - like the Co2 Keeling Curve.
But we also have a deep interest in Puerto Rico where we live - beaches, animals and Islands.
Also in science, NASA (space), HUBBLE and Technology.
